Meet Chris

Christopher Reeves wants Union to be affordable, beautiful and connected, so that people of all walks of life can experience the joy of living in Union.

Chris—together with his wife, their daughter and three cats—has called Union home since 2021. Chris is a native Kentuckian who was born and raised in Lexington. His parents worked hard in the manufacturing industry to provide their kids with a middle-class upbringing. He graduated from Lafayette High School, where he met his high school sweetheart and now wife of 20 years. While attending the University of Kentucky to complete his Forestry degree, he made extra money on weekends by refereeing KHSAA wrestling matches. After earning his Bachelor's degree, Chris continued to study while he worked full-time, eventually earning his Master's degree in Forestry.

His professional career started at the University of Kentucky, where he worked directly with small business owners, private landowners, and public officials as part of the University's Cooperative Extension Office. From there, he transitioned to the corporate world to help IKEA with their Forestry initiatives. In his current role at Procter and Gamble, Chris is a forester that balances the needs of producing renewable products, like paper or lumber for housing, with responsible forest conservation for future generations.

In all of his jobs, Chris has worked with a wide range of stakeholders, including local forest communities, governments, landowners and business leaders. His practical attitude and focus on delivering healthy local economies in livable neighborhoods have led him to deliver strong business results while holding corporations responsible for protecting our resources. He will do the same with your local government, ensuring that the City Commission is prioritizing the needs of working families at a time of growing challenges for the middle class.
